Good Afternoon!

Boy, it has been a hot one today!
I guess we shouldn't complain.
Our August has been beautiful!

Mr Beckett was my special helper today!
And he was a great one!

In honor of our big boys at kindergarten,
we read this funny book during circle time:

Then we worked on writing our names:

Here is my big kids,
the ones that don't need much help
writing.
They rock!

The smaller guys need a little more one on one,
but I am sure that before long, they won't need
much help, either!

We played a bit outside after our school time
and had a wonderful afternoon!

Here is Beckett and Dane's scrapbook pictures!
I recorded their height and weight as well.
Love these smiles.....

We hope your day was great!

Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.

Another great day at preschool!

Cadyn is my special helper today!
Love this smile.

We read a funny back to school book:

Worked on our names a bit more...
We had to match the letters of our name
and glue them in order.
The kids did great!

Then we started our photos for our end of year scrapbooks:
I also weighed and measured each child to document.
This will be neat to see how much
they grow between now and June!

I will be sure and snap Dane and Beckett's tomorrow!

I had to share this next photo with you.
It is one of Kaitlin's SR pictures that is on my gallery wall
in my dining area.
The kids are really "bothered" by
the fact that she is in the middle of the road.
At least one kiddo a day asks why would she be doing that!
"It's dangerous!" They say! Lol.
I get a kick out of it.

Have a wonderful rest of your day!
But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God;
may they be happy and joyful.
Psalm 68:3

Back in the Saddle Again....

We are back in the groove of school work today!

Here is a bit about our day:

William was my special helper today!
He gets to be first in line, sit in a "special" seat at circle time,
help with lunch and anything else I need!
We take turns in alphabetical order,
that way everyone gets a turn!
We started Circle Time off with our daily
prayer and Pledge of Allegiance.
Then we sing our ABC's,
we count to 20 (for now),
we do our letter board,
and number flashcards!
Whew!
After ALL that,
we read this great book!

This week is mainly to get back in the swing of things,
but I normally focus on their names.
Name Recognition, how to spell their name, and
of course, writing their names!

I normally have colored cups for each child with their names.
The kids have memorized their "color" of cup,
not necessarily their NAME on their cup.
I put those away and wrote names on plain white cups.
This way the kids had to look at the spelling and
figure out which is theirs.
It worked great!
The kids really looked at them and helped each other!

We then practiced tracing our names.
I was really impressed with how the kids did this as well!

After school time, we spent some great time outside!
It was lovely this morning!

After nap, we celebrated Gavin's 3rd birthday!
His momma brought cake and capri sun, and Gavin's
Nonna came to the party and brought Doritos!
It hit the spot!

Today was our big kids' first day of school,
so we decided to walk down and meet them off the bus!

We were so excited to see Kasen!

I think he had a great first day!

I have and will continue to pray for our students
and teachers as we go through this school year,
What a big task they have!

Instruct the wise and they will be wise still;
teach the righteous and they will add to their learning
