Happy Thursday!

What a wonderful day!
The 3 to 5 year olds had their annual screening today. Ms Jeanette came and tested them on their hearing, vision, developmental, and speech. So needless to say, our class time was cut short. It was too beautiful to stay in and write!  They still worked hard on their rectangle sheets:
Mattie is holding the book I read to the kiddos. It is called The Fox and the Falling Leaves.
 Then, we just played.
These sweet little guys play so hard.
It was all they could do to stop their important "playing" and pose for a picture.
But when they do- the world lights up.
 Precious.
These faces are what life is all about.
Yet, they teach us so many things.
 How crazy is that?
 It's a God thing.
Only He can make something so strong- yet so fragile.
As parents, we wouldn't have it any other way.
They make our world go round.
 Everyday. Every minute. Every second.
We hope your day was as sweet as ours. We feel privileged to have these faces everyday.

Totally Tuesday!

We have had a WONDERFUL day! Not many pictures today, so sorry! My licensing specialist (aka my boss) came and spent a good time here today! She spent the time looking through all my children and employee's records. We passed with flying colors! YAY! Needless to say, I am always nervous when she's here!

REESE is my special helper today! He is holding our work that we completed today! I gave each child a rectangular block and a purple crayon. They were to trace the block on their papers ! They all did so great!
We then took some time to read a book about FALL. I love the season of Fall! Today's book was called Let It Fall. Here is Lane holding it: I am sorry that I didnt get your child photographed today! I will make it up to you!

Breakfast: Jumbo Biscuits with butter and jelly with milk and a banana
Lunch: Soft Tacos with hamburger and shredded cheese, spanish rice, corn and a salad
Snack: Cheese and crackers with kool aid

Marvelous Monday!

We have had a WONDERFUL Monday!
Trinity is my special helper today!
Brrrr.....we talked about how chilly the air was today! We all had to wear our jackets to school this morning! It is chilly because it is FALL! We read a book about Fall and the changes that comes with it! Here is Tead with our book "Leaf Trouble" that we read today:

Tead, you're such a NUT! Cutie Patootie:

After we read the book we went for a walk to try and find any signs of Fall! Everyone found a leaf that had either changed or was in the process of changing colors! They get to take them home! We are going to go on another walk in a week or two and see if the leaves are even more different! Here are the kids with their leaves: We are also learning about the rectangle and the color purple this week. We just did a simple color page- but I emphasized coloring with CONTROL! This means in the lines!! Some of the kids understood- but some aren't quite ready for "control"!! haha! Here are their great coloring pages:

After our color page, we spent some time outside! This was my chance to get the little guys in action! Vivian, telling me to "talk to the hand"! Look at all that sand! I'm sure Amy is thrilled with all the sand in her hair- but she loves it!

This is THE hangout! The boys like to get in their dumptrucks and actually ride them down this little hill we have! They are so funny! There is Cadyn, right in the middle of them! Sweetie Pies!
Sweet little baby girl...

Then you have your boys who like to RACE! Brayden and Grady go in circles after circles after circles! Im surprised these trikes still have tires!

Then it was in for lunch! Since Trinity is my special helper, she gets to do extra special things to help Miss Melea. She was asked to put spoons out for lunch!

Love my job! Hope you had a wonderful day! Enjoy your Fall......
With Love,
~Miss Melea~

Breakfast: Cereal with milk and apple juice
Lunch: Sliced franks, mac n cheese, peas, and mixed fruit
Snack: Applesauce and graham crackers

Thriving Thursday!

What a GREAT day!
Mattie is my special helper today!
We've had an exceptional day! The kids are in such good humor today! Which wasn't the case yesterday! If you were wondering where the post was yesterday- I couldn't write it because of the straight jacket I was in! haha! Just kidding! Someone said it was a full moon-so maybe that was the reason for total chaos yesterday?!
We did a little one on one handwriting today after our normal circle time routine. Then it was outside to play! Look at these adorable kids....... Love them............
It always makes me wonder how anyone could hurt a face like these.......
Hope your day was EXCEPTIONAL like ours!

Terrific Tuesday!

What a great day!
Mr Levi was my special helper again today!!
This week we are learning about the diamond shape and the color yellow! So we made YELLOW KITES! Before we made our kites- we had to watch some videos on REAL kites being flown on youtube! The kids loved it! Here they are with their finished kites......Tead working hard on his kite! Reese is working hard too!

Lily has it under control!
I didn't get a chance to get up and snap photos of the little ones before they went outside- but I know whatever Kathy played with them- it wore them out! Can you tell?........
Hudson is out COLD!
And so is Roper.......

Grady hung on a little longer than the others..........

As did Kasen!......
Vivian......out like a light!

And I snuck into Cadyn's room- through the crib bars to snap this picture of her!
Such sweet kids! Im so lucky to be a part of their life!! Hope your day has been as great as ours!

Here is Tatum with her finished project! She was the FIRST one done! Yay Tatum!

Memories.....

No time to take pictures today! We were busy "testing"! I took the kids one by one and evaluated them on what they know! They did so good! Anyway- it took longer than expected and still didn't get everyone tested today....so no pictures! But I did find some adorable old pictures that actually blew me away! Look at how much these kiddos have changed since they first came to Miss Melea's:

Mattie.... Brayden.....

Jayden..... Kasen....
Roper.......
Lane........

And Geneva......

I love it! Im sure we will have many more as time goes on! Thank you for letting me be a part of you and your child's life!
