Sweet Memories.

Rhett cleaned his room out the other day.
All of his toys are out.
He "donated" them to the preschoolers.
Let me tell you, that was tough on him.
Not necessarily donating them,
but just parting ways.
He hadn't played with them in years,
but they still hold special memories.

The preschoolers were thrilled, though!

Gavin's momma is out of town for school,
so he was here bright and early this morning.
He wanted to play with some toys,
so I got out some of the toys donated by Rhett.

These pictures bring tears to my eyes because it
reminds me so much of Rhett playing with them!
Rhett would be so careful and put each animal,
tractor or car in the perfect spot.
That is exactly what Gavin was doing.
Gah.
In his pajamas and those chunky legs.
I could've watched him all day.
Sweet boy.

This truck is probably the most important.
It was Rhett's very first toy truck.
When I worked at the bank,
a very special and sweet man that owned
his own wrecker service,
Walt Record,
 brought Rhett this wrecker truck.
Rhett wasn't even crawling yet.
He took the truck in his hand, set it on the ground,
and began to make "engine" sounds!
I couldn't believe it!
I told Walt that story the next time I saw him,
and he said, "I'm glad he enjoyed it".
I will never forget that!
Mr Record has passed away since then,
so this truck holds a very sweet memory.

Hold on to the sweet memories of your kids.
The small insignificant things are the things
you will miss the most when they are older.

Water Table Fun!

Here are a few pics from last week.
We love to get the water tables out!
These are actually water and sand tables-
but the sand doesn't last long,
so we have declared them JUST water tables.
They could play for hours.
Pouring and dipping and pouring some more.
But our favorite thing to do is stick our heads in it;)

Sweet Summertime.

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.

Happy Birthday, America!

We have been blessed with a super fun day!
We started the day off with some
face painting.
We read a neat 4th of July book
and made a wind sock!
For snack, I made the
kids some festive
fruit and marshmallow kabobs,
along with some brownies!
I hope they like them!

Life is good.
Come see us at the fireworks tent!
We are proven to have the BEST prices
around! Send your friends too!

Have a happy and safe 4th of July!

Vacation Bible School Picture Overload!

Well, I have been super busy.
Here is a recap of Vacation Bible School
last week!
I wanted to make sure and post so you
guys will have a copy!
Oh, and I heard that our kiddos are in
the newspaper this week!
So cool!

Day 2:

Some of my Giggles & Grins alumni
were at bible school!
It was so good to see them!

Scott, Reese, and Mattie.

Emma and D'jini:
Elijah (and his friend Colton):

And Miss Paige:

So fun!

DAY 3:

The kids loved the worship time at the beginning each day.
Fun songs and videos!

Gavin's daddy and his co worker came and showed
us some of their climbing gear.
It tied into the theme of the week.
Pretty cool!

Roper and Axton got to help with the rope.

Good lookin' little family:

Then we had craft time!
Fun!

Day 4 & 5:

I am pretty sure that Beckett fell in love
at bible school.
He was pretty smitten with this little girl!

We blew bubbles during play time!

Craft Time:

The whole group practicing for the sing along on Sunday:

Whew!
Just looking at these pictures
wears.me.out.
The kids had a blast
AND
learned about Jesus!
What could be better??
