Thursday's Recap.

A little colors review and one on one flash cards
is what this morning consisted of.

I love simple days.
We all need those every once in a while.

They are firemen putting out a house fire!
Serious business.
Luckily they saved the family and put the fire out
just in time.
Sweetness.

Colored Celery update:

It's FINALLY getting darker in color.
Thank goodness.
I think the kids thought I was crazy!
Haha.

I want all you mommies to know that I am
proud of the work you do.
Juggling work, a home, a husband, kids,
and all that those three things entail.
I am sure there is lots of days
where you feel as though there should
be 10 of you to get all the work done.
I feel that way, a lot.
Just so you know,
You are appreciated.
You are doing an AMAZING job.
Just in case you have forgotten,
here is a little reminder:

"Honor your father and your mother,
and love your neighbor as yourself."

Wednesday's Happenings.

Hello!

Another great day.
A bit hot, but we will miss it come February!

Rhett won FIVE fish at the fair last night.
He assures me he will take care of them.
Believe me, I will hold him to it!

The kids sure enjoyed them though!
I was hanging out with a little guy that
was having a case of the "mommies" this
morning. I look over and two of the little boys
have their hands in the water trying to catch and
SQUEEEEEEEEZE the fish.
Ahem.

My little beach babies.

I takes me TWENTY minutes to lather these
beach bods with sun block!
It's a chore, but a very important one.
Sweet things.

Flexin'.......

We had circle time outside!
I try and keep things new and fresh
for the kids. This is one way we do it.
Our favorite spot for circle time is
at our city park.
When it gets cooler, that is where we will be!

Flashcards, a book, and singing songs.
Oh, to be their age again!

It was a glorious day.

You who are young,
be happy while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy
in the days of  your youth.

A Day in Our Preschool Life.

Happy Tuesday!

We have had a wonderful day!
We hope you have as well!

I thought it might be fun to let you see
how our mornings roll around here!

After breakfast,
we have circle time.
We ALWAYS start circle time
with a prayer thanking God for the
beautiful day.

We say our pledge.

Recite our numbers and letters,
with help from my daily special helper!

Along with the weather and calendar.

Then we sing songs, read a book, and/or play a game.
Today we played a game.
I gave each child a color and they had to go and stand
on that card as fast as they could!

They really enjoyed it!
This helped review our colors
in a fun way.

Then we did a little handwriting.
Each child had to go "find" their name
on a piece of paper and take it to the table
and write their name beautifully.
They all did so well!

After our school time,
we have FREE TIME.
aka recess.
Since its hot out,
we play in the water.
They never get tired of it!

I also got the sprinkler out today.
That is a special treat.
My water bill can't handle
sprinkler days every day!

It is SO stinkin' hot and humid.
Every 10 minutes I yell,
"WATER BREAK!"
Everyone comes and gets the
BIGGEST drink of water possible!
Gotta stay hydrated!

We always have our buddies to play with!

Or worms....

Or chalk..

After Free Time,
we fix and eat lunch,
then potty,
then nap time.
They all conk out from the
BIG morning we have!
Plus, Mrs Melea needs nap to
get ready for the afternoon!
All smiles.
After nap, it is snack time!
Lastly, more FREE TIME!
We do play dough,
puzzles, playing with toys or coloring
inside the house,
IN THE AIR CONDITIONING!!!!

That is our day.
It may seem pretty simple,
but it is definitely
eventful.

Here is an update on colored celery:

I see some red and blue colors in the leaves!
Yay!
Hopefully tomorrow they will be brighter.

While I am in the world,
I am the light of the world.

Welcome to Preschool, Ashlynn!

Happy Monday!
This post will be 2 days in 1!
I had a very busy day Friday!

This beautiful little girl is as sweet as she is cute!
She seemed to LOVE preschool!
We are so happy to have you, Ashlynn!

I am so glad to finally be able to add some
kiddos from my waiting list!
A few have been on my list for YEARS!
Craziness!
What a blessing.

We had fun water play on Friday.
It was one of those days where
we had lots of fun,
but I didn't feel very accomplished.
With 10 sweet preschoolers,
these days are inevitable.
As long as we have smiles like these
through out the day,
we should be alright!

We have missed our friendly garbage men!
They were coming during nap time for awhile.
It was good to see them.
The new kiddos enjoyed their loud horn!

This week, we are starting on our colors.
We will review all our colors.
All the kids already know them!
Woot!
We did do a cool science experiment today.
We put celery into colored water.
The celery is supposed to change colors.
Suppose to.
It's been 5 hours and nothing yet.
haha.
The story of my life.

We also did a color page on red and blue.

FYI- you may be hearing some new songs
that we are learning at preschool.
Today we did the Hokie Pokie.
They thought it was hilarious!

In case you missed it, here is our
ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
We challenge
YOU! Our parents!

Gosh.
Aren't they adorable!???
I literally love every single one of them.

This verse was my devotional this morning.
I thought it was appropriate to share:

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you
the desires of your heart.
