Terrific Tuesday.

What a great day!

I know that a photo shoot has been long over do.
I definitely love these kiddos,
and maybe I am a little partial....
but my goodness, we have some
good looking kids here!
Lol.
Take a look at these faces:

Gosh.
I love them all.

We are having some great days of learning!

We hope your day was great!

Preschool is a HOOT!

It's that time of the year again!
It is Carroll County Fair time!

Which means, CRAFT time!
If you know me very well,
you know that I love all things crafty.
And I love different, unique crafts.
( I am also a tad bit picky. Just ask Buddy. Lol.)
I want our craft to stand out and catch your eye.
I knew I wanted to make an owl craft,
so I scoured the internet for different ideas.
I put a few different ideas into one
and came up with these cutie patootie owls!

Aren't they precious?
I took several ideas and made them into our own creations!

I then brainstormed and came up with
"PRESCHOOL IS A HOOT!"

The kids did great making them!
The totally cool thing about this project
is that it only cost me around $6!
I had all of the supplies in my craft closet!
Score.

So, stop by the Carroll County Fair this week
and check out our craft display in the Kiddie Korner!

By the way,
I am gonna catch this blog up in the next
few days! We have had ALOT going on
around here! Lots of pictures and birthdays
and lots more!

Love these kids.
#blessed.

Welcome to Preschool, Brooklyn!

Today was our first official day of our new
school year.

We had a wonderful addition to our little group!
This precious little face!
Welcome Miss Brooklyn!
Isn't she adorable?!

Miss Misti had a good group today!
Gavin, William, Adria, Emmalyn, and Miss Brooklyn.
All the kids were so good with the baby.
Love these kids.

In our class, we began with our normal circle time routine.
Prayer, Pledge, Letters, Numbers, Counting, etc.
Then we talked about some rules of the classroom.
I read this neat little book that my
SPECIAL HELPER,
Beckett is holding:
(And what a wonderful special helper he was!)

It was then time for a little work.
I asked the kids to draw me a picture of something
fun they did this summer.
I showed them how to make stick figures
and a sunshine and water.
Then I asked them to explain their pictures.
It was so cute.
I wrote down on their picture what they said.
I am saving these for their end of year
scrapbook.
So sweet.

This was also the first day back for lots of other kids.
Zakary happened to be with his mom when she
dropped off his sister!
His first day of school!
He seemed so grown up!

And these cutie pies got off the bus today!
Miss Mattie and Miss Paige.
Big.Kids.
Not babies anymore.
FYI.
I cant believe how big they are either!
I fell in love with their outfits!

This day was hard for this mommy too.
I had to send my babies off the their first
day of their
SENIOR YEAR
and
6th GRADE YEAR!
What?
Seriously.
Where has the time went?
Love my kids.

And these 5 kids skipped through my mind a few
hundred times today too.
I felt like their momma.
If I could've, I would've been there
with their parents.
Strange?
Yeah maybe.
I can't help it.
Love them too.

Here is to a happy first day back to all
students and school faculty!

Dining with Royalty.

Almost everyday, during lunch, I remind the kids
that one day they might get the chance to
dine with the president.
If that ever happens, they need to make sure
and use their best manners.
Well, Monday was their chance to practice!
We had lunch with a QUEEN!

Katelyn Goodman is the reigning
Miss Carroll County 2011.
She came to visit the kids and dine over a
gourmet meal of Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches.
lol.

We were mesmerized by her beauty
AND her crown!

This little girl holds a very special place in my heart.
She spent many hours at my house with my girls,
as did my girls at her house.
It is so unbelievable to me that she is 18 years old!

The GREAT part is that this beautiful young lady will
be hanging out with us a lot more!
She is going to be my sub when
Miss Misti or myself have to be gone.

We love you Katelyn Joe and look forward
 to seeing you more often!

Sweet Lane.

I don't think anyone fully understands
how attached I get to these kids.
Every summer's end is bittersweet.
Even though some days are hard,
I love these little guys like they are my own.
Truly.

Lane Allen,
You are precious.
You are FULL of life and joy.
You and your mom made me a promise that
you would come visit me.
You said you would everyday!
lol.
I will miss your little smile.
You always kept me on my toes,
thinking, "Did that REALLY just come out of a
4 year old's mouth?"
You are wise beyond your years.
Too smart.
You are always the life of the party!
You also have some awesome dance moves.
Those moves were your show n tell
many Fridays.
We LOVED it!

This is us on his last day.
Poor little guy.
His momma brought him in and right
away I could tell he didn't feel well.
You didn't get to stay long because you
were under the weather.
 Made me sad!
:(

He came in with beautiful flowers.
As soon as I saw them I started to cry!

And his momma brought Misit and I the cutest
Razorback Tshirts!
(From FloraCraft, by the way!)
So cute.

Oh! And she brought these BEAUTIFUL cupcakes!
We were so spoiled!
I love you Lane!
 I love your family!
I'm gonna miss you SO much!

All these little guys are getting ready to start
BIG SCHOOL!
I wish them all luck!
I am so proud of all of them!

Ms Melea
