Easter Week Fun!

Long Time, No see!
I am so incredibly busy anymore, blogging has been put on the back burner!
I have made a mental note to try and make it a priority now!

We are celebrating Easter this week!
I feel that it is super important that the kids know the true meaning of Easter.
It's not about Easter eggs or the Easter bunny.
It's about Jesus and the cross and Him Living again.
Every year I do a neat little illustration to help the kiddos understand the Easter story.
I take 6 eggs and fill them with different items to tell the Easter Story.
The first egg has a small piece of bread.
Jesus ate dinner with his friends. Luke 22:14-15
The second has a cross.
Jesus died on the cross. John 19:17-18
The third egg has a piece of cloth.
He was wrapped in cloth and placed in a tomb. John 19:40
The fourth has a rock.
A stone was placed in front of the tomb. Matthew 27:59-60
The fifth was empty inside.
Jesus' friends came to the tomb and saw the stone had been moved!
The tomb was empty! Luke 24:1-3
The sixth egg has a piece of candy inside.
Jesus is ALIVE! He's ALIVE! That is the sweetest truth of all.

We will do this each day as a sweet reminder.

We also read a neat little book that tells the true Easter Story.

You will have to quiz your kiddos on the Easter Story! I bet
They would love to tell you how JESUS ROSE!!!!

With this weather, I am thinking picnics are a must!!
I am so thankful for the beautiful sunshine and happy kids!

Have a wonderful afternoon!
