Happy Birthday Lily!

This beautiful girl turned 4 this past Sunday!
Isn't she GORGEOUS??!!
She got to see her picture and balloons on the door when she arrived at preschool this morning!

Happy Birthday Lily!
You are so tiny- yet full of sweetness!
I love you dearly!

We learned about Rhymes today!
When talking about rhyming you HAVE to have nursery rhymes!
We started off with this cool book full of nursery rhymes!
It comes with a CD that sings all the rhymes.
All the kids loved it!

We then did a simple worksheet where you had to pick
which word rhymes with the beginning picture.
The kids had no problems doing this!
I was super proud of them!

Then outside, of course!

The little girls hung out and had a blast playing!

It is difficult getting a picture of these little guys!

They are squirmy worms!
Cadyn is helping Ivy look at the camera!

Perfect!

We are loving summer!
Even though it is going by WAAAYYY too fast!

By the way,
Our family is doing a fireworks stand over across from Wal- Mart- there by Carroll Electric. We would LOVE for you to come by and support! We are open from 9am to 9pm until Friday, July 1st, then we will be open until 10pm! We are told we have the BIGGEST selection and the BEST prices....

Please stop by!

Wonderful Wednesday!

We have had a great day!
We started it off with some breakfast.
Then it was straight in to our swimsuits!

We decided it would be fun to do circle time in our swimsuits.
It was a book about a fish....who lives in the ocean!
I thought it was appropriate?

The Pout Pout Fish is one of the cutest books we have
ever read! It comes with a CD of the story. The story teller
is very animated as he tells it!
The kids loved it!

Then we had to make our own Pout Pout Fish!
We worked so hard on them!

Aren't they cute?!

Then we pretended that we were "fishies" and went and jumped in our "oceans"!

Happy Summer!

P.S. I have now realized that I use exclamation points after
every. single. sentence.
I will try and work on that!
oops!
I mean, oops.
haha.

Let's Catch up on Tuesday!

Look who came and visited us yesterday!
This is Miss Ivy.
Isn't she ADORABLE?!

Her regular babsitter is out of town the next few weeks,
so Miss Ivy gets to hang with us!

Her big sister, Tatum is with us everyday.
I think they kind of look alike, don't you?

So sweet.

We did alot of playing in the water yesterday.

And making tents...

Look at these little future beach babes!
too cute!

Grady LOVED the "sprinkles"! (as he calls it!)

Then  yesterday afternoon, we enjoyed the library again!
The books were about a Safari!
When the books were done, the kids were supposed to
draw what they would see on a safari!

We love Summer Time!

Our dads ROCK!

What a great day we've had!

It started off with a visitor!
Say hello to Reno!
Reno is Roper's (mini) Australian Shepherd.
All the kids got to hold him and pass him around!
He was such a good sport!

We played outside after some pancakes.
Then came in to play a little in our centers.
After that it was lunch time!
Hot Dogs, Ruffles Tator Chips, Carrot Sticks, and pineapple!
mmmmm!

After lunch, we started on our Father's Day craft!
The kids worked so hard on it.

Just for their daddies!

Because we love our daddies!

I thought they turned out so cute!
If you can't tell, those are rocks in place of the "O" in rocks!

They are just little signs to hang up in their office or where ever!

After we finished our craft, we sat down to read a story before
nap time. We read Daddy and Me. It's about a little girl and her
daddy doing everything together!

We hope you have a wonderful Father's Day Weekend!
Celebrate those dads or stepdads that have help mold you
into the wonderful person you are!

Sprinkler and the Library!

We had a super LOW key day!
I love days like today!
We just had a few kids.
Ten to be exact.
I promised the kids yesterday that we would get wet-
somehow, somewhere!
So we pulled out the sprinkler!
It was a little chilly for the sprinkler.
So we would warm up and go back to the sprinkler!

Then, I took the bigger kids to the library for story and craft time!
Sorry, these pictures are from my phone.
So, they are a little blurry!

The librarian read 2 books.
One was about cars and the other was about big cities.

So they made a steering wheel and took a big city word search home!

Here they are with their steering wheels!

I was so excited to see one of my good friend's (we went to high school together!) children at the library!
They were with their grandmothers,
who are two WONDERFUL ladies.
They are adorable and I can see so much of their momma in them!
I enjoyed hanging out with your kids, Elizabeth!

Our summer is going GREAT!
We hope yours is too!

We Are Dynamite!

Giggles & Grins Preschool Graduation 2011
Beware! Picture overload!

I went with a "Dynamite" Theme.
We came in dancing to Taio Cruz's Dynamite!
I have some very jazzy kids!
They can definitely bust a move!

It was such a great night!
We had lots of fun!

The little guys sang a cool rendition of
"If You're Happy & You Know It"

The preschoolers had to introduce themselves
and state their ages.

It just looks a little chaotic!
lol.
Everyone was in the perfect spot at the perfect time!

Lane leads us in the pledge.

Then it was time for the big kids to say their lines,

and sing their songs!

and wave at mommas, daddies, and grandparents!

After introducing everyone,
my last 6 graduates were on stage.
Such a sad moment, but exciting at the same time.
Then we enjoyed a slide show I had put together for the
parents and then enjoyed cupcakes and capri sun.

Now that another year has came and went,
I am already dreading my next crew going to kindergarten.
We are so attached to your kids!
We really do feel like they are one of our own.

I know I say it ALL the time,
but we truly are blessed to have you and your child
in our lives.
Thank you.

With Love, Miss Melea
* A special thank you to Becky McGehee and Michele Graves for taking pictures of graduation! And a thank you to Marilyn Bonham for making copies of the slideshow for all the parents! You all are very special to me!
