Reese.

Can you believe it?
It's your last day of preschool!
Even though you and your mom made me cry
a little this morning,
I am so excited for you to go to kindergarten!
You will do GREAT!
You will love it!

You are such a handsome and sweet boy.
I am so proud of you!
Reese brought me this awesome new candy jar!
With a card that was so sweet, it melted my heart.

I appreciate the wonderful parents I have to work with.
Tiffany and Bobby, you are no exception!
I will miss your sweet faces and your sweet spirits.

Miss Melea loves you, Reese!
I wish you the best of luck and fun in kindergarten!
See you Thursday for practice!

Miss Melea

A Goodbye and puddles!

Today was Ms Yvonne's last day until the Fall.
She came at just the right time this morning.
She was able to watch a bit of our program
we are working so hard on!

Tatum, Trinity, Mattie, and Levi were the
only graduates here to say goodbye.
She shared a book about going on vacation,
since summer is here!

The kids did really well with her today!

They listened very well.

We love you Miss Yvonne!
We hope you have a great summer!
The other kids were playing up a storm in the other room!

Lots of activity!
Explaining the blurry pictures!

I took my kids straight outside after Ms Yvonne left.
We let the littler kids have a choice and
they were having too much fun inside!
We were only out for about 20 minutes.
Alot of damage was done in 20 minutes!
I allowed them to do some pouring, or "cooking" rather,
with the water that was sitting around.
The next thing I knew they all were soaked!

So I said "Go Ahead, I guess".
HAVE FUN!

They had a BLAST!

No need to worry!
They ALL had baths
and all their clothes are washed and in the dryer.
You won't even know what happened!

Afterwards, Tatum asked why would I let them do that?!
I said that it would probably be the only time we would do it.
She gave me hug and said "Thank you Miss Melea! I love you!"

Made my day!

Special thanks to Ms Kathy for helping clean these guys up!

Stay Safe in the storms.
Still praying for Joplin and the others that were affected by the bad storms and tornadoes.

Whew!

Whew.
That's one word to sum up this day so far!
Crazy kids are WILD today!
haha!

Oh well-
just means they are having fun, right?

Yes- for those of you who were wondering-
this was a whistle kind of day!
lol.

We started off the day practicing for our program!
The kids did much better today.
They were a little bored with me yesterday.

Then we talked about our letter Y.
(I am hoping to combine Y and Z this week because next week is gonna be CRAZY!)

Y is for Yarn.

We did a little craft that I kinda stole from Kathy.
Thanks Miss Kathy!

Reese made some cool Y's out of his YARN..

So did Levi!
Great Job boys!

The rest decided to do a yarn collage...

After our projects, we went outside!
Boy was it WET!
It is physically impossible for us to keep 14 kids out of the water.
We've tried.
IMPOSSIBLE.
But they sure had fun!

Then it was lunch time!
Gavin was one hungry boy!

He ate all his baby food!
Plus a whole bottle!
This was our lunch today!

Yummy...

It is always so much fun to clean up after a spaghetti lunch.

NOT.

But it is fun to eat!

This is one of the meals that pretty much everyone will eat!

They might be wearing a lot of it afterwards too!

Beware of white shirts on these days!

I give them friendly reminders of their napkins!

I think sometimes they just accidentally....
forget.
lol.

Or they could just use their shirts?

What? What's wrong with that?
Just teasing.

Vivi TOTALLY ignored me when I tried to take a picture!
She is so funny!

Look at this handsome face-
LOVE THAT SMILE!
Grady did great with his spaghetti!
Great job!

Can't wait for tomorrow!
My oldest sister, Tana, is coming to visit us!
She is a preschool teacher at a private christian school near Branson.
She is going to share some ideas and bring some samples of her curriculum!
I cant wait!

I was just thinking about how all the ladies in my family are all in a career that helps children.
My oldest sister, Tana, that I already spoke about, she used to teach at Branson Public Schools before she landed this totally cool job!
My second oldest sister, Tara, is a 2nd grade teacher in Kansas and is currently working toward her Master's Degree for Administration.
And my sister in law (married to my brother; aka Gavin's mommy) is the K-3 counselor who happens to have 2 Master's Degrees!
Wow!
I am proud of my family!
I love you all!

Rain? AGAIN????!!

How do you like the weather?

Grrrr.
That's what I think about it.
I will be happy about how beautiful and green
everything will be though!

Saying prayers for those in Joplin today.

I wanted to show this picture of Vivi I had
snapped of her peonies she shared Friday!
Aren't they BEAUTIFUL??!!
I.love.flowers.

We practiced HARD this morning for our program!
Hence the NO work going home today!
We practiced until I started seeing lots of
YAWNS and mumbles of the songs!

Then we thought we'd better get outside and QUICK!
So that is what we did.

Hudson and Dane's favorite spot to cook:

Might I add that they make THE best sand pies EVER!

Kasen and his dump truck.
They seldom ever part.

Ummm...I think yellow is definitely Vivi's color...
Absolutely gorgeous!
Sweet kids.
Goofy kids.

Makes me sad that I only have a few Mondays left with some of these faces.:(

To those of you who are sickly-
WE MISSED YOU TODAY!
We hope you get to feeling better!

With Love,
Miss Melea

Happy Thursday!

Happy Thursday?
Just so you know,
I have a hard time knowing how to title each blog.
I am not very creative in this category.
But who really cares, right? haha.

Yesterday afternoon, we had a very special visitor!
Ms. Yvonne had a great idea to bring
D'jini Holt, a preschool alumnist, to visit with us
about Kindergarten. And let me tell you,
I was impressed!
She is so MATURE! Wow!
She had a list of all the things she wanted to talk about.

Ms Yvonne was super impressed too!

She wrote it all herself and even read every bit of it!
She has beautiful handwriting!
Ms Curry is doing wonders with her students!:)
Thanks for stopping by, D'jini!

This morning started off a little boring.....NOT!
Ms Kathy got the PARACHUTE out! Woo hoo!

Dane isn't too fond of the parachute yet.
He decided to sit this one out.

Tead brought a beautiful flower he picked from his
ma and pa's house!
I just love this cheesy little smile!

Then I made him laugh.....
Sweet boy.

We then practiced for our graduation ceremony.
And read a book.
The kids love the books with the CD that goes along with it.
Gwyneth Paltrow is the narrorator for our book today!
(Like they know, or care, who Gwyneth Palrow is! But I do! ha!)

Trouble.

On the double.

Trouble on the Double x 11!

It was so beautiful, we decided to do our writing
OUTSIDE!

I was afraid the kids would be distracted.

But they did awesome!

It makes it nice to change the routine up a bit.

The kids seemed to enjoy it.

They all are pretty good little workers.
Lord knows WE ALL have our days!:)

I sure am proud of their work!
Dane driving a big truck like his daddy!

CHEESE Vivi and Cadyn!

Little guy was ready for his nap early.
Don't you wish we could give people this look
and not have a care in the world?!
Gavin, your Aunt B loves you!

Then- time for a PICNIC!

I wanted to share a little something..
Look at what we get to enjoy everyday:

YES! That is all honeysuckle!
It smells DELICIOUS!
It wraps around almost the whole preschool fence!
How lucky are we???

We were told we have the best smellin' preschool around!
(There are some times during the day- you might retract that statement, Michele!ha!)

I don't know about you,
but I don't feel like we got near enough rain a few weeks ago?
Thank goodness it's gonna rain the next 4-5 days!
NOT!
Stay dry!
