Food for Thought....

Here are a few pictures from our day with some thoughts I've had lately...

I truly wish I could say that I have a master's degree in Child Education...
But I can't.

I thought I was going to be an Interior Designer in a big city.
But God had other plans for me.

No Master's Degree,
BUT
I do know how to hug these little guys.

I know how to kiss boo boos.

I know how to wipe tears and boogers.

I know how to sing my ABC's and count to 50
until I'm blue in the face.

I know how to be a referee, a paramedic, a janitor, a chef,
a teacher, an entrepreneur and a "stand in" mom over 40 hours a week.

All with a smile.
Most of the time;)

I know that with all the hats I wear, as all of us do,
one of my MAIN tasks is to make sure these kids know
about GOD.

No, not all of our curriculum is centered around the Bible.

We don't memorize bible verses or have bible drills.

But we do pray to Him every morning in circle time.

We thank Him for each and every one of you, along with
the trees and the grass and all their animals;)

They know that God loves us and that we love Him.

They know that, at lunch, we do not pick up any of our food until
we say our prayer, thanking him for our food.

We sing songs about Him and how much He loves us.

Yes He does love us.
Unconditionally.

All of these little faces are BLESSINGS from above.

I know that WE are very blessed to be a part of THEIR lives.

While there has been times everyone looks back and thinks,
"What if?"

I know that you don't need a Master's Degree to love a child.

This is EXACTLY where I am supposed to be.
Boogers and all.

And when days might get a little hairy....

It is moments like this that make me so happy to do what I do:

Brayden stopped me after our lunch prayer and
said he wanted to pray to God.

Wow.

I do not take credit for Brayden's random prayer, by any means.
And I know that I am not the only place these kids learn about God.
I was still SUPER proud of him!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11

With Love, Ms Melea
