Yay for Tuesday!

We have had a great day!
The weather is perfect!

We are reviewing the color purple and the rectangle shape.
Which I have found are 2 things that are rather hard to find books relating to.

So- we found some books that had PURPLE pictures!

My special helper, Lane, is holding up Hiccupotamus. Which is an
adorable book on tape that the kids BEGGED me to read TWICE!
We also read NO, David!
Which is about a little boy who gets in ALOT of trouble-
but in the end, his mommy still loves him!
We talked about how God gave them to their parents as a gift.
And that God expects us to take care of them and teach them right from wrong-
one of the kids related it to having a puppy. You have to teach them
good stuff and get on to them when they do bad stuff.
Either way- we always love them. No matter what.

Everyone had their own "David" stories.
We discussed that book for quite awhile.
Since we had so many "questions" and "stories" on that book,
It cut in to our work.
So I made an executive decision to break out the dry erase boards.
The kids were to write their names and show me.
Then they were to draw something that could be purple or that was in the
shape of a rectangle.

They did so well today!

What a great group!

We went outside to join the little guys!

The babies had Misti's attention!

Axton and the big boys found the mud!

Beckett was riding tricycles!

Cadyn too!

Nevaeh loves to put rocks at the end of the slide so that the other kids will
slide through the middle of them!

Where dirt is...boys will be also.

Our day was fantastic!

*****************************************

Did anyone make it to the Carroll County Superbowl over the weekend?

We got to go support our Tigers!
In the rain!
 What an awesome game!

I enjoyed watching our student section, especially Kaitlin and Kodee have so much fun!
Green Forest Tigers brought home the trophy!
35 to 0!

Way to go Tigers!

We also celebrated our Birthday boy last night.
We had to because Rhett has a football game tonight.
Happy Birthday, Buddy!

He ordered pork chops, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and rolls
for his bday dinner. His dessert was his 2 favorites, cherry cheesecake and
homemade oatmeal raisin cookies!
My picture is a little blurry, but can you see those #'s on the cake?!
You will have to give him a hard time about being 48!

Hope your weekend and the start of your week has been awesome!

With Love,
Ms Melea
