We had a great day at preschool today!
We were so happy to have Jaxon join us today!
Our "Welcoming Committee" made sure Jaxon felt loved!
He has had a wonderful day!
We had our normal Circle Time just after breakfast.
Our circle time consists of prayer, pledge, Alphabet song,
Counting to 20 (for now), songs, letter and number boards,
and a book! We normally do some type of participation game.
This is a lot of "sitting and paying attention", as you can imagine!
I do my best to switch these ways of learning up so that it stays
fresh and fun for the kids.
the whole schedule thing. In preschool, worksheets and pencils are not
the best way to learn day after day. Although we do use worksheets
more and more as the year proceeds, there is MANY other ways of
learning. Just know that if your child doesn't have actual work to take
home each day, that does it mean they aren't learning very valuable skills!!
Today we sparked our senses with a shaving cream party!
We wrote our names in it, shapes in it, and just squished it between our fingers!
We talked about how it felt in our hands, how we would clean it up and how it smelled!
The kids had so much fun!!
Since it was raining, we had indoor play. I keep some toys
out of sight so that in days like today we have some new things
to play with. The girls loved the dishes and food!
And the boys loved the trucks and trailers and animals!
This afternoon we celebrated this guy:
Happy Birthday, Gavin Daley!
We love you so much!
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.
His love endures forever. Psalm 136:1
With Love,
Mrs. Melea
