A week of Manners...

We have been talking about manners this week.
Can you possibly sum up ALL the things to say to a 3 to 5 year old about manners
in JUST one week?
Hardly.
But I am trying.
I think they might just hear
BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Today we read a cool book called
"Please is a Good Word to Say".
It was really cute.
It went through all the polite words to say
with a scenario.

We then covered how we should cover our mouths and noses when we cough or sneeze.
If you have issues,
use a TISSUE!
lol.
I totally made that up all by my lonesome.
I thought it was clever....

Anyway, we made a neat paper today.
We traced our hand and colored it-
then glued a tissue to it to remind us that if you
have issues,
you should use a TISSUE!
lol.
Can you see Mattie's in the picture?

Don't they say that trouble ALWAYS comes in threes?.......

Poor Gavin. He has no toys to play with!

Not sure about the arms behind the head?
The Sprinkler, perhaps?
Sweet boys.

The big kids were hanging out, checking out Kirklyn's ipod.

I found this book in my stash!
It is the NEATEST Little Golden Book!
It has a copyright of 1962!

The first line is
Good manners make a person nice to know.
Good manners mean being kind and helpful and friendly to people
all day, every day.

I know I have met some adults that need to read this book! Haven't you?

Yay! Our air conditioner is fixed!
It just needed to be cleaned out!
Thank you Summers Heating and Cooling!

Right after the air conditioner guy left,
up pulled the Health Inspector!
I passed my inspection!
Whew.

Here is a picture I had from Monday.
This is on our way out the door to the pool and slip n slide...

I wanted to share a couple of photos of MY kids!
This is Rhett and a couple of buddies he met at the
College of the Ozarks basketball camp.
Which, we accidentally on purpose ran into their
girls basketball coach and assistant coach.
Who we would LOVE to make it to a couple of Kaitlin and Kodee's ballgames
this fall. We also toured the locker rooms.
The girls fell in love.
They believe they might want to be a
BOBCAT!
gulp.
A C of O Bobcat, that is.
No purple. They are maroon.

Speaking of the girls and basketball,
here is their summer team, The Arkansas Ice.
They just shut down everyone at the All Star Sports Arena,
to bring home the tournament championship this past weekend.
Let me tell you, we LOVE this team.
They have been such a good thing for our girls.

Oh yeah, and did I mention that Kaitlin and Kodee got their
DRIVER'S LICENSE!??

Hope you've had a great day!

With Love,
Miss Melea
