A week of Manners...
We have been talking about manners this week.
Can you possibly sum up ALL the things to say to a 3 to 5 year old about manners
in JUST one week?
Hardly.
But I am trying.
I think they might just hear
BLAH BLAH BLAH.
Today we read a cool book called
"Please is a Good Word to Say".
It was really cute.
It went through all the polite words to say
with a scenario.
We then covered how we should cover our mouths and noses when we cough or sneeze.
If you have issues,
use a TISSUE!
lol.
I totally made that up all by my lonesome.
I thought it was clever....
Anyway, we made a neat paper today.
We traced our hand and colored it-
then glued a tissue to it to remind us that if you
have issues,
you should use a TISSUE!
lol.
Can you see Mattie's in the picture?
Poor Gavin. He has no toys to play with!
Not sure about the arms behind the head?
The Sprinkler, perhaps?
Sweet boys.
The big kids were hanging out, checking out Kirklyn's ipod.
I found this book in my stash!
It is the NEATEST Little Golden Book!
It has a copyright of 1962!
The first line is
Good manners make a person nice to know.
Good manners mean being kind and helpful and friendly to people
all day, every day.
I know I have met some adults that need to read this book! Haven't you?
Yay! Our air conditioner is fixed!
It just needed to be cleaned out!
Thank you Summers Heating and Cooling!
Right after the air conditioner guy left,
up pulled the Health Inspector!
I passed my inspection!
Whew.
Here is a picture I had from Monday.
This is on our way out the door to the pool and slip n slide...
I wanted to share a couple of photos of MY kids!
This is Rhett and a couple of buddies he met at the
College of the Ozarks basketball camp.
Which, we accidentally on purpose ran into their
girls basketball coach and assistant coach.
Who we would LOVE to make it to a couple of Kaitlin and Kodee's ballgames
this fall. We also toured the locker rooms.
The girls fell in love.
They believe they might want to be a
BOBCAT!
gulp.
A C of O Bobcat, that is.
No purple. They are maroon.
Speaking of the girls and basketball,
here is their summer team, The Arkansas Ice.
They just shut down everyone at the All Star Sports Arena,
to bring home the tournament championship this past weekend.
Let me tell you, we LOVE this team.
They have been such a good thing for our girls.
Oh yeah, and did I mention that Kaitlin and Kodee got their
DRIVER'S LICENSE!??
Hope you've had a great day!
With Love,
Miss Melea

Fun Friday!
We are having a fun Fiday!
We have a small group today,
so we got our handwriting done early and headed out to the pool and slip n slide!
We love summer!
I am so blessed to have the job I have.
I am so blessed to have the assistants I have.
I am so blessed to have the "bosses" I do!
(That is YOU, by the way!)
Since our group was small today, I get to be with
my son today at his camp awards at College of the Ozarks.
I had been sick about it all week.
God is so good.
I think he knew that I needed to be there with Rhett.
Thank you all for being so wonderful
and knowing how important our kids are!
Thanks to Miss Misti for hanging out with the kids today!
She is awesome!
Please pray for Miss Kathy!
She has hurt her knee and is out for awhile.
She will go see a specialist next week.
We hope she doesn't have to have surgery!
Get better soon Miss Kathy!
We love you!
Everyone have a GREAT weekend!
See you Monday!

Happy Birthday Tead, Mattie, AND Ms Kathy!!!!
It is a Birthday PALOOZA!
These sweet people have birthdays today:
Miss Mattie, Tead, and Ms Kathy!
Yes, I totally creeped Miss Kathy's Facebook,
copied a picture AND cropped it just for my blog!
I thought it was a great picture of her though?
Creepy? Ok, maybe a little.
Sorry Kathy!
Mattie brought some super cute cupcakes to share!
Ms Kathy brought some ice cream cups, and Tead
brought some Capri Sun to drink!
Time to PARTY!
The birthday boy and girls' welcome signs this morning.
After breakfast, we put our swimsuits on in a hurry.
We wanted to be able to jump right into the pool after our work!
So, we read our book first.
(I have NO idea why it is sideways?!)
The Gingerbread Cowboy.
The kids love the books that have a CD that narrarates the story.
Michele, did I spell narrarates right?
Or is it even a word?
Anyway, they sat super good and listened to the story.
Then we colored a picture of cowboy boots.
They were just like the boots the Gingerbread Cowboy wore!
We then practiced our name at the bottom.
They all worked really well!
They knew as soon as they got done,
they got to go swimming!
And play on the slip n slide Tatum got us!
Great Work kids!
Swim Time!
Beware!
Picture OVERLOAD!
Golleeee, isnt he handsome?!
The big kids were inside "hanging out".
Rhett informed me that he DOES NOT play anymore.
He hangs out.
Also, Mr Lane did not get his picture made today!
He came in a little after my photo shoot!
So- apologies to Lane and his mom and dad!
I will make it up to you!
I hope your day has been wonderful!
I wanted to say a quick thank you to all of you who came and supported our family's firework stand!
Some of the kids told me you stopped by and I wasn't there when you did- so a HUGE
THANK YOU!
We met our goal. Just remind me a year from now to say
NO! to the fireworks stand!
hahaha!
With Love, Miss Melea
