A Hodge Podge of a Blog..

Whew! I have one busy woman!
Finally, today, I get to BLOG!
I tried once last week and when I went to post it,
I recieved an error message.
Then it was deleted! Grrrrr.

Here are a few pics from today:
We are reviewing letters A thru J for a couple of days.
Then we will be working on Valentine's fun stuff.

The kids are working on review sheets
 in these pics..

We started reading Valentine's books today!
I love Valentine's Day!
We have missed this little guy!
He was out all last week with pneumonia!
He is feeling much better!

Here are some random pics from last week:

Love these kids!

On another note,
this weekend my little family drove to
Hot Springs to cheer on our son
and some other Green Forest Tigers
in the state hoop shoot competition!
They all did so well!
Billy won his division,
Rhett tied for 4th place,
Madelyn placed 3rd,
and Reiley did awesome as well!
I am so proud to be a Tiger!

This past week was a special week for me.
It marked the 5 year anniversary of opening
Giggles & Grins Preschool!

I am amazed at how this little dream of mine has turned
into something so big and such a blessing!

5 1/2 years ago, I was working at First National Bank.
I had been in banking for close to 11 years.
I had an amazing job there, too.
I had worked my way up to 3 weeks paid vacation and
unlimited sick time. I dressed up in pretty clothes
and greeted the customers when they walked in the door.
I describe it as a "cushy" job.
I say that with honor, because I truly loved my job and
the people I worked with.
But everytime a child came in the bank,
I was drawn to them.
I would take them stickers and suckers,
and would take them off on a tour of the bank
while their parents did their business.
I loved it when little ones would come in!
I think all along, I knew my heart belonged to being with kids.

Now, I have traded the nice clothes to jeans and tshirts.
I have traded the desk for a playground.
I traded freshening up my make up at lunch,
to making sure I have no boogers on my backside.
I traded the smiling faces that came in the bank,
to the smiling faces of children.
Although some days, I miss the calm of the bank,
I know this is what I am supposed to be doing.

Here is a sweet picture of my very first group.
Not all the kids are pictured,
but this was the majority.
Oh my! This makes me so sad!
These kids have grown up!
We had went to watch the county circus put
up their big tent! We even got to see the elephants!

Golleeeee! I love these kids!
Even now, these kiddos will see me and run to hug
me! I love it! They tell me they miss preschool..
and even naptime!
I told them so!!
Lol!

Thank you for the wonderful
opportunity.
Thank you for trusting me, Kathy, and Misti.
Thank you for allowing me to begin my
next 5 years with your child!

With Love, Ms Melea
