:)

Hello Lovelies!
I failed as a blogger the past 2 days.
Yesterday was just a weird day in general,
so I didn't even get a picture snapped.
Boo.

Here are some photos from Monday:

Cutie Pies...

We are learning the letter Gg and the #7 this week,
so "Goosie's Good Idea" was a great book to read!

A little sound recognition worksheet:

We always get a few skittles after class time for fun:

Love them.
Today instead of the usual flash cards we decided to watch
some fun quick learning videos on YouTube.
I LOVE this tool. The kids are always into anything with music.

Fun G and #7 videos!

Then we did all our schoolwork with SHAVING CREAM!
The kids love this as well.
One of the best sensory activities.
The kids had to write and uppercase G and a lowercase g,
along with their name and the #7.
Then I called out letters we have already learned and they had
to write that in their shaving cream.
They really enjoyed that game.

That has been a smidge of our week.
We are enjoying a little sunshine.
Thank you, Lord!
Sunshine is a preschool teacher's best friend!

We had quite the few days in this house.
Starting with Friday afternoon.
My daughter Kodee was in a fender bender in Siloam
at college. Someone ran a stop sign and side swiped her.
Scary moment. She is fine, thank goodness.

We made a quick trip to OKC to watch her play ball Saturday.

Kaitlin headed back to Russellville on Sunday for her last semester
of her Junior year of college. Kodee started back to classes today.

On Monday night, my little guy had a scary fall in his ballgame. He
injured his back and leg while getting a killer block.
Yet another scary momma moment. He is recouping, but it will be
awhile before he is back to normal. He promised he would NEVER
do that again!! Sigh.

By the way, I think it is a momma's right to brag on her kids.
With that being said, I have some REALLY good lookin' kids.
Whew. What is even better is their hearts are just as beautiful.

Most of all let love guide your life.

Happy Thursday!

Good afternoon!

I am recapping Wednesday and Thursday!

Yesterday was a fun day!
We tore out the PLAYDOUGH!
You would have thought it was Christmas morning!

Play dough is probably one of the best activities to build
fine motor development. It strengthens all the tiny hand
muscles and tendons that are needed for holding a pencil
and using scissors.

I love to watch the different ways they play with it.
The girls were making cookies and things to "eat"
while the boys were "chopping" and "cutting".

Most Thursdays and Fridays, I devote to one on one time with each child.
We do our alphabet and number flashcards and do individual handwriting.

Whew!
We all worked hard today!

During Gavin's one on one time, I had him sound out his
"f" words. He didn't even stutter. He read them like they were
nothing! I knew he was on his way to reading easily, but today
he confirmed it! This doesn't mean he can go read Shakespeare
or anything, but he is definitely reading LOTS of words!
Super proud of him! Way to go!

These flash cards are out where the kids can get them during
free time. They are very popular! I was given these a few years
back from a sweet preschooler and his momma, Roper and Lindsay
Turner. I absolutely love them! The kids play "Mrs Melea" a lot
during free time.

A couple of good books for the letter "F"....

Then we went on an "F" hunt. Since our last name is Fry,
we have lots of F's in our house. The kids found each of them.
We headed down the hallway and found these in Rhett's room!
F is for FISH! Although they were more impressed with
Spongebob and Squidward's houses than the actual fish!! haha!

Love these sweet kiddos. We missed Sarah today!

I came across this pin on Pinterest and loved it.
I thought I would share.
Who knows, maybe one of you needed it today?

F is for FISH.

Another great day at preschool!

We learned all about FISH today!
Look at our cool FISH crafts we made:

I love watching them work so hard.
Their little hands working away.
Soak these pictures up.
They will be teenagers WAY too soon.

Another good book this morning!
We laughed and laughed at
The Pout Pout Fish!

We had a special guest after nap today!
Gavin's kitty, Carol, rode underneath their car
today ALLLLLL the way to town! Haha!
Gavin's mommy saw her and needed
her to stay with us until she got off work.
The kids were so excited!

We took Carol outside with us to let her go potty.
She may or may not have gotten an impromptu bath
in the sandbox full of melted ice water.
Ahem.
Disclosure: No animals or children were hurt during this time.
Hahaha!

Thank you for letting Carol come play today, Gavin!

I hope your day was fabulous!
Ours sure was!

This is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Happy New Year!

Hey y'all!
I am BLOGGING!
woo hoo!
Can you tell what one of my New Year's Resolutions is?!
Haha!
I can't promise I will be able to do this everyday, but I'm going to
try my hardest!

During circle time we, of course, went over our letters, numbers, counted,
etc. but we also went around telling our very favorite Christmas gift. It
sounds like they all had a wonderful Christmas!

We started off the 2nd part of the school year with a sweet book:

I love books that have a CD that reads it! It has sound effects and
different voices reading...it really keeps the kids engaged!Afterwards
we went around the circle telling what we would like our New Year's
Resolution to be! Alot of them wanted to "help their moms" with various
chores. We had one child that wanted to start a garden! So cute!

After our book we worked on our classwork. We just did a little
worksheet introducing the "F" sound.

Gosh, they are cute! Aren't they?!

I hope you had a fabulous holiday! I enjoyed every second of it!
My house was FULL! I love it when my kids are all home under
one roof! I was in HEAVEN!

And this cutie pie. We had a wonderful time
with sweet friends on New Year's. Much needed.

If you need me, after Rhett's ballgame, I will be in
my bed with my jammies on watching this:

Don't judge.

I am loving this verse right now. It just might need to be my
go to verse:

Rise up, take courage and do it. Ezra 10:4
