Be My Valentine.

A super fun week of learning and loving.

We worked on our Valentine Bags.
After all, Jesus is our #1 Valentine!

We snuck in some learning of the Letter K this week too.
Ya'll, this snow and ice stuff has gotten us a bit behind!

We love to do our handwriting on our dry erase boards
that Cadyn's grandma gave us!

Thank you Lord for the wonderful sunshiney days this week!

Our Valentine's Day morning started off with pink heart pancakes!

Then a dance party with balloons.....

that ended up outside.

I made out like a bandit.
I always feel loved,
but today was extra special.
We went around the lunch table and told
each other what we love most about them.
Many of them said that they
"love when I give them kisses".
Gah. Love that.
Then one of the little guys said,
"I love it when you feed me food."
Lol.

My sweet gifts:
Flowers and chocolate Galore!

Here are the kiddos with their special
Valentines and their boxes.

Axton brought some awesome robots to share.

Emmalyn and her momma made a huge heart
shaped rice krispy treat.
Yummy.

And brought me this cute gift:
It is browine mix with a spatula that says
"Shooting for some Brownie Points"
so stinking cute!

Cadyn's sweet gift:
It says,
"It takes a Big Heart to Help Shape Little Minds"
Love.

After our hearty snack,
we passed out our Valentines.
The kids really enjoyed giving out their own.

We had a great day!
I hope all of you were shown the love you deserve.
My main men took me out to a steak dinner.
I even wore heels and my heart necklace!

I am looking forward to some great sunny days next week!
Hopefully a day or two at the park!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy,
it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others,
it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices
with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love Never Fails....

The Letter G.

This is some serious cuteness.
Lots of learning this week.

G is for GLASSES.

I hope to get at least some of the other
HUNDREDS of pictures I have
of your sweet kiddos posted.
This particular post took 30 minutes to upload.
Sheesh!
***********************

Lots of prayers in our little town this week.
I find myself feeling guilty
that I have to go on with life like normal,
while a special friend is hurting.
Just doesn't seem right.

Be thankful for the time you have.

Christmas Happenings.

My computer is toast.

So, here is a bit of a Christmas week wrap up via iPhone. Tomorrow will be all about Santa and our birthday party for Jesus!

Here are a few things we've been doing the past few weeks:

Christmas is in the Air.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
around Giggles & Grins!
My FAVORITE time of year!
So our Christmas fun officially started today!

We have a new friend that is visiting us for the
next few weeks. Mr Dane came up with the
perfect name of JOLLY for our magical Elf.
Everyone agreed that it was a perfect name!
So, we would like to introduce you to, Jolly, our
friend from the North Pole.

He hangs out everyday during school and keeps an
eye out for Santa. He reports the kids' behavior each
day. He magically flies to the North Pole in the night
and magically reappears each morning. It will be fun to
have this "visitor" each day and hunt for him each morning!

Another fun thing we are doing for the next few weeks is reading
LOTS of neat Christmas books! I am wrapping them like presents
and each day a child will take turns to open the "present" and
we will read the book! Today's book is Mary's Baby. It is very
important to me that these kids understand the real reason why
we celebrate Christmas. I tell them that it is Jesus' Birthday!
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS!

Look at these sweet, HAPPY faces! We had the BEST day today!
Notice the short sleeves and NO jackets! It was a beautiful day.
We are soaking this in, since there is a chance of SNOW this week!

In other news: Mattie got off the bus this afternoon and pulled
her tooth right out of her mouth! Pretty sure she will get a visit
from the Tooth Fairy tonight! So exciting!

I hope your day was as eventful as ours!
I am happy to have my main tree up and hoping
to decorate the rest of my house tomorrow night!
I just love to sit and look at the lights of the tree
with a nice cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows.
That makes for a perfect evening.

Plus, I love my fun colorful tree!
I thought the colors were perfect for the kids to enjoy!

I hope you are enjoying your kiddos and your trees
this evening and for the rest of the Christmas Season.
But please remember the reason for the season.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign:
The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a
son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

Terrific Tuesday.

Long time no see!

My computer has a virus.
Boo.
Beware when your 12 year old says, "I downloaded an awesome blah blah".
Sigh.
All smiles.
So, there are lots of pictures that I intended to blog, but they are sitting in a memory card for the moment.

I took some pictures today with my phone, hoping to give you some idea of what we do all day!

This week, we are learning the letter C!
We read the Crunching Munching Caterpillar. The kiddos LOVE this book!

We also made some adorable caterpillars:

Tayleigh was so proud if hers!!

We listen to a CD about all the letters and their sounds. The C song mentions cauliflower, so I was sure to have some the kids could try at lunch today. It was not a big success. Surprise, surprise! Haha!

We had a WONDERFUL day today! We learned a lot and played lot. A couple of important things that we spent some extra time on was being a good friend and God's Golden rule and table manners!

Good looking group of kids, right here! I love them!!!
I ask that you say a little prayer for my momma. Her surgery is Thursday! It is greatly appreciated!
