It's All About the Letter P!

What a great day we have had!
We are learning about the letter P.
We are also learning the # 16.

Here are the boys with the totally
awesome animal book about PENGUINS!
There is also a chapter on POLAR BEARS!
They LOVE to learn about animals!
Here is my special helper, Lane, doing the letter board.
After circle time and our books, we did some writing.
Here is Tead and Tamika working super hard.

I went to check up on Kathy's class.
Kasen and Hudson were watching Scooby Dooby Doo.
Cadyn is holding the two P books Miss Kathy read to the kids.

And Mr Gavin was just chillin'!

After lunch, we watched Scamper the Penguin.
Tamika brought a movie to share, but she thought she would
like to watch this one instead!
We did have a great morning. We tried a new reward system. It worked really well. I am hoping it will last! The cold and rain make it hard for ANYONE to behave!

Hope your weekend was great! I enjoyed it with my sister and getting some MUCH needed cleaning and laundry done!

A Beautiful Day!

First of all we wanted to say a BIG congratulations to GRADY!
He is a BIG BROTHER!
Welcome Adria Quinn Gordon.
4lbs, 17 1/2 in
She was in a hurry to get here.
7 weeks early.
But baby and mommy are doing great!
Can't wait to meet her!
Congratulations to Mark and Dustina!

First on the agenda for this morning: SHOW AND TELL!
Brayden brought some Mardi Gras beads and a Bat ring!
Tead showed us how he wrote his name!

Roper brought a really cool gun that is bigger than he is!
Queen Trinity brought her crown!
Levi shared his kaleidoscope, pillow and blanket.
Tatum brought a REAL camera! It really takes pictures!
And a notebook one of her high school family members gave her
full of school notes! The kids were amazed at all the writing!
Lane forgot something for show and tell- but had an awesome story about his daddy.
His daddy is gonna be in a "ceremony and he will get a patch!" I explained to the kids
that Lane's daddy is in the United States Army and he will be honored in a ceremony kind of like their preschool graduation. I also explained how important our soldiers are to our lives!
WE LOVE OUR TROOPS!
Mattie brought a really cool movie: The Thorax by Dr Seuss.
The kids loved it!
Gavin brought his sweet smile for Show and Tell!
Kasen brought his Derby Car and 2nd Place trophy for show and tell in his room!
Go Kasen! We are so proud of you (and your daddy lol)!
Axton brought his special stuffed animal!

Thank you Lord for beautiful weather today!
Dane and Cadyn loved it!
Friday is also PAJAMA DAY!
Tatum and Mattie wore their pj's!
Axton was fascinated with the camera.
He had to get a closer look:
Beautiful weather always brings a picnic at Giggles & Grins!
Look who had his first trip in the walker!
And, by the way mom, Sorry about the dirty socks!

TGIF! We hope your weekend is wonderful!
My sister is coming in from Kansas this weekend!
I am so excited to see her!

Celebrating the Letter O!

Tead and Cadyn brought some special things to share today in honor of the letter O!
Cadyn brought an OCTOPUS and Tead brought 2 books that start with the letter O!
OLIVIA and an OCEAN book!
Thanks Tead and Cadyn!

We practiced writing our Os with FINGER PAINT!
Since the letter O is pretty easy- we thought we would have fun with it!
It was funny to see some of the kids afraid to get "dirty"!

Whew! What a mess! But it was so much FUN!

Here are some snapshots of the little ones! We are hoping to do some painting with them tomorrow!
By the way, LOOK WHO IS SITTING UP!
And eating big boy food!
Yay GAVIN!
Thanks to all of you who were so understanding when I had to be gone those afternoons for my girls! I hate being away- but I am so glad I have the opportunity to be there for my kids. That is the way that it should be. We work to provide for our families and to be able to do things with our children. We work to live. Fortunately, I have a GREAT group of bosses! (That is YOU!)

I truly appreciate you and your support!

Oh yeah- by the way- I LOVE YOUR KIDS! :)

N is for Necklace

Today we made NECKLACES for the letter N!
The kids LOVED finding the "perfect" beads for their necklaces!
This was a wonderful way to work on our fine motor skills!
Threading these beads were not easy!

The little guys enjoyed some Sesame Street and games.
 Gavin helped me fix lunch!
Happy Boy!

I will be traveling to Searcy tomorrow afternoon to cheer on my daughters and the rest of the Lady Tigers Basketball Team in the second round of the state tournament!

Hope you have a great week end!
Thanks! Miss Melea
