Thoughtful Thursday.

I had a wonderful surprise first thing this morning. Emmalyn brought me flowers! Made my day! Spring is definitely in the air! So thankful.

Sweet girl.

We did a little work on the letter P:

And we enjoyed some music during lunch today. It was a nice treat.

I am loving this weather!

Wednesday Fun.

What a fun, low key day.
Mrs Yvonne came to visit!
Do you see our big smiles?
We laughed all morning!
Mrs's Yvonne's manners topic was on
burping and tooting today.
The kids got a kick out of Mrs Yvonne saying the word toot!
I was laughing so hard, I was crying! Fun times.
By the way, you should "swallow" your burps and excuse
yourself from company  if you need to toot.
 Perfect advice!

We are working on the letter P this week.
Playdough starts with P!
William brought homemade playdough that
his sister helped him make, so we brought out ours!
We made all kinds of things!

Fun day!
We hope your was great too!

St Patrick's Day Fun!

Lots of fun at Giggles & Grins today!
We made some cool shamrock hats this morning!
Here we are modeling them:

Gosh, they are so stinkin' cute!

Did you notice the face paint?
I did a little artwork on these cute
little cheeks this morning:

Lucky Charms, great Leprechaun books,
and yummy snacks are in order!
I can find any excuse for a party!

We did a fun math/graphing activity
with Lucky Charms. I think the
kids REALLY liked eating the
graph afterwards! I can't say that I blame them!

After nap,
we woke up to some craziness!
A leprechaun had been at preschool!
He left his footprints in the kitchen
and Shasta's water was
GREEN!

There were also footprints leading
to the fridge...
OUR MILK WAS GREEN!
So crazy!
The kids couldn't figure out what had happened!
They came to many conclusions.
Either the leprechaun
peed in the milk and Shasta's bowl,
or he went swimming?
Maybe took a bath?
It remains a mystery...

We also woke up to some yummy snacks:

And apparently the leprechaun likes us,
because he left us some fab stuff!
(I am thankful for local stores who choose
to donate their clearance items to me!)

Green décor
and tons of smiles and fun today!

I shared this story with the kids today,
so I thought I would share with you.

My brother can find a 4 leaf clover
at any given time. I remember over the years
I would get so aggravated because I NEVER
could find them. I would look for hours,
it seemed.
A couple of years ago,
I was having a hard time.
There were lots of issues coming
at me at once. I was
super overwhelmed,
not sure what to do or where
to even begin. I was on the playground,
kids running and playing all around me.
I was sitting in the grass, praying to myself.
There was a cluster of clovers in front of me.
In the middle of my prayer I just said,
"Lord, show me that everything is going
to be okay. Maybe if I could find a
4 leaf clover, that would be the sign you
could give me that I am going to be alright."
I said these words thinking I had doomed myself.
I was in my 30s and had NEVER found one.
I look a little closer, next to my shoe,
and there it was.
My very first 4 leaf clover.
I know it is a little corny,
but I know for a fact
that is was not coincidence.
It was God.
I kept that 4 leaf clover, laminated it.
It now is in my wallet
and serves as one of the MANY
reminders that God will always take
care of us.
No matter what.

I love you, Lord, my strength.

O is for Octopus.

This week is all about the letter O!
We had a day full of learning about the
OCTOPUS!

After our normal circle time routine
we read about octopus in our animal book:

Then we watched some cool YouTube videos
that showed us how an octopus swims!
Another video was a girl EATING an octopus!
Crazy!
I told the kids that in different countries,
they eat different things!
They were amazed!

We learned that an Octopus has 8 legs,
so we turned ourselves into an octopus!
It was so fun!
The kids really liked this activity:

We counted all 8 legs each time.

We got tickled trying to wiggle our legs
like a real octopus!

Then we headed over to do our octopus craft:

We are hard working kiddos:

They did a great job:

How about this weather!!!
AMAZING!

To round off our morning,
we had a nice picnic in the backyard:

We had a wonderful day and we hope yours was too!
